How old do you have to be in order to create an app account?


Anyone 13 or older can create an app account. An account must be created the first time you use the app. The information required to make an account includes first name, last name, email address, birth date, and phone number.





Coaches

Can I print practice plans from the app?


No.




Can I open plans or drills if i'm not connected to wifi or don't have cellular service?


No.




I'm currently listed as a member on my team, how do I change my role to coach?


Anyone listed as an admin on your team members screen can change your role from member to coach. To do this, an admin must open the app, find your name under the listed members, tap on your name, and change your role to coach.




Is there a complimentary web version of this app?


We currently have a web version; however, it is designed for league administrators.




How do I share plans or drills i've found on the app with other coaches?


Your other coaches must first join your team on the app by entering your 6 character team code. Once they are on your team, you can share plans or drills by attaching them to an event on your team schedule or through the group chat.




How do I unlock premium content in the app?


This depends on what Athlete Era app you are using. For USA Football Coach Planner, you must complete your youth football certification. For all other apps, you can either purchase a premium upgrade in-app or assign a premium upgrade credit that's been added to your account be your league administrator.




Can I use custom practice plans I've made with multiple different teams on the app?


Yes, any plan you have created that appears in the "my plans" section is saved to your account, not to the specific team. This means you will have access to these plans inside any team you create or join in the future. Teams are simply used to keep team members, messages and schedules separate if you are coaching multiple teams.




Can I remove people from my team?


Yes, however you must be an admin to remove members from your team. A member or coach can be removed from your team by locating them on the team member screen, tapping their name, and choosing "remove from the team".




Can I be both an Admin and Coach on my team?


No, you can only be in one role. If you are a coach and created the team, you can choose a parent to be the designated team manager and change them to the admin. Then the new admin can change your role to coach. As a coach, you can still control the teams schedule. You will just no longer be able to remove people from the team or edit the team settings (name, age group, & game type).




What's the difference between the coach and admin role?


Admins can change the roles of people who have joined their team, edit the team settings (team name, age group, game type, color and team logo), and delete an entire team. Besides these things, all of the admin permissions are the same as a coach.




Can I post web links or files (other than images or videos from my phone) in the group chat?


No.




My league admin told me to use this app but they didn't give me a code to join my team. What should I do?


Tap "setup my team" and complete the team setup process. League admins only add a premium credit to a coaches account, allowing them to access the full version of the app at no direct cost. A coach is still required to setup their team.





Parents

How do I create and add my child to the team?


Follow these steps to create a child on your account: 1) Select "more" on the bottom tab bar 2) Select "user settings" 3) Select "0 children" under your account settings 4) Select "+ New Child" 5) Enter your child's first and last name then select "Submit" Once a child has been created on your account, follow these steps to add them to the team: 1) Tap the back arrow in the top left corner of your user settings screen 2) Select "team" on the bottom tab bar 3) Select "Add Child" 4) Select the check box beside the child you would like to add to the team 5) Select "Add"




How do I edit my child's name?


1) Select "more" on the bottom tab bar
2) Select "user settings"
3) Select "Children" under your account settings
4) Select your child's name 5) Tap the edit pencil icon to change their first or last name




Can more than one parent/guardian from the same child join the team?


Yes. If the other parent/guardian simply wants to view the team schedule and/or use the group chat, they simply need to create an account and join the team by entering the 6 character team code. If the other parent/guardian wants to RSVP for events on the behalf of the child, they must associate the child with their account. For instructions on how to do this, please reference the question "How do I associate the same child with multiple different parent/guardian app accounts?"




How do I create and add a second child to the team?


Follow these steps to create a second child on your account: 1) Select "more" on the bottom tab bar 2) Select "user settings" 3) Select "children" under your account settings 4) Select "+ New Child" 5) Enter your child's first and last name then select "Submit" Once the child has been created on your account, follow these steps to add them to the team: 1) Tap the back arrow in the top left corner of your user settings screen 2) Select "team" on the bottom tab bar 3) Select "Add Child" 4) Select the check box beside the child you would like to add to the team 5) Select "Add"




How do I sync my team schedule with a different calendar?

How do I associate the same child with multiple parent/guardian accounts?


When you create a child on your account, a 6 character code is created and associated with that child. To find this code, tap more (bottom tab bar) > user settings > children. The code will be displayed under each child's name. If a new parent/guardian wants to associate this same child with their account on the app, they will have to complete the following steps: 1) Download and sign up for the app 2) Join the team by entering the 6 character team code 3) Skip the proccess when asked to add a child to the team (the child has already been added by the original parent/gaurdian) 4) Once inside of the app, tap "more" on the bottom tab bar 5) Select "user settings" 6) Select "0 children" 7) Select "existing child" 8) Enter the 6 character code associated with the child then select submit The new parent/gaurdian will now be able to RSVP for events on the behalf of this child.




Can multiple different parents/guardians RSVP for an event on the behalf of the same child?

League Admins

How do I setup the app for all of my teams?


If you need support setting up more than 5 teams, contact leaguesetup@athlete-era.com If you're setting up the app for fewer than 5 teams we recommend following these steps: 1) Set up your first team by following the team setup process 2) After the first team is setup, navigate to more (bottom tab bar) > my teams > create team. 3) Follow the setup process for your second team 4) Repeat this process until all teams have been created 5) Go into each team and write down the team code. You can find the team code by tapping team (bottom tab bar) > invite members 6) Email each team their team code so everyone can join their specific team on the app If you need support setting up more than 5 teams, contact leaguesetup@athlete-era.com




How do I upgrade my coaches and teams to premium?


For help upgrading multiple coaches and teams to premium, we recommend contacting leaguesetup@athlete-era.com If you know the email address of each head coach in your league, we can add premium credits to their account. A credit will allow the coach to upgrade their team to premium at no direct cost. Alternatively, we can setup a league account for you on our app manager website. This will allow you to enter your coaches email addresses to add premium credits to their accounts.
